i think you should know
“i think you should know
i almost told you once
when the sky looked like
a watercolor dream
and your laugh
felt like home.
i think you should know
your name still lingers
in the pauses
between my thoughts—
not loudly,
just enough.
i think you should know
i notice the little things—
how you tuck your hair back,
how you hum without meaning to,
how you listen
like you’re holding space
for someone’s whole world.
i think you should know
i don’t expect you
to feel the same,
i just needed
to stop carrying
quiet feelings
in loud rooms.
so here—
this poem,
is not a question,
not a request,
just a soft truth
wrapped in verse.
i think you should know—
i felt something,
and it was real.”
