Lost Connection
“I found her on Snap,
Not sure why I sent the request.
Three days passed (September 23, 2023),
Before she noticed me,
Lost among the guys on her add list.
She accepted,
So I sent the first snap,
Unsure if she’d snap back.
But she did,
A face snap,
And suddenly we were talking,
Snapping back and forth.
Our vibes,
Like stars aligning in the night sky,
Perfectly matched.
By September 24,
We were calling,
Sharing secrets that only
The dark could hold.
I don’t know why
We got so close so fast,
But we did.
And then one day,
Dark clouds came,
Covered everything,
December 25th,
9:45 p.m.,
It all fell apart
Because I couldn’t keep myself together.
I was happy it ended,
But a piece of me still ached,
Longed for you,
For the impossible return.
If I could turn back time,
I’d make it right.
We stopped talking,
But somehow,
On May 22, 2024,
We found each other again,
On my birthday,
The best gift I could ask for.
Everything felt right,
Until June 30, 2024,
When it all shattered again,
And it was my fault.
I’m sorry for breaking you,
I’m not asking for another chance,
Just writing to say,
I’m sorry
For everything I’ve done to you
Until now…”
