Walls of Mistrust
“From this point on, I’m not trusting a girl in my life,
Not after the lies, the empty words, and broken promises.
Each time I gave my heart, I thought it would be safe,
But it seems trust was just another illusion,
A fragile dream shattered by the weight of reality.
I built my hopes on words whispered in the dark,
Only to find them fade when the light of truth appeared.
No more will I let my guard down,
No more will I wear my heart on my sleeve,
For every time I’ve trusted, I’ve only been left alone.
Maybe one day, things will change,
But for now, the walls are up,
And trust is a luxury I can no longer afford.”
